Roomies Reunited!

On Saturday, I got a lovely visit from my one and only roomie (literally)! It was so, so good to see her and reminisce about our happy times in Tutwiler! College was a fun time for both of us because the majority of it was spent laying in bed allllll dddaaaayyy and watching SATC! We had a nice meal together and then did this (not much has changed)......

Return Of The Snuggie

OK, so I am eating my words now! Bff Tini gave me this snuggie for my birfday and I a.d.o.r.e. it! I have already taken about 4 naps in it! I seriously think if the commercials weren't so terrible, the Snuggie would have made a lot more success! They even threw in a super-neat book light! Yesss! You have no idea how happy that makes me! Thanks, Tini!! Had waaayyy too much fun with y'all this weekend! Loves you!

You're Killin' Me, Smalls

Tini, SL, and Dukey attended the Braves game!! Sooo much fun! The weather was perfect and we had great seats! Too bad we missed a good portion of the game (you know how that tailgating can hit you at the worst times). I was so happy that I got to see the bestie and bff!! They surely made the trek late at night to see us! We even had sooo much fun that one of our attendants caught the infamous Swine Flu... yuck! Dukey and I are crossing our fingers, toes, and elbows for you to get better SOON!

I Like My Water With A Pinch Of Sweet-N-Low

Everybody likes their water sweet, right?? Well, I'm not talking about that kind of sweet water! Dukey and I hit the Sweet Water Brewery and it was fun (minus the sun)! We tasted every kind and I fell in l-o-v-e! My fave was Blue because of the hint of Blueberry! It is the perfect girly brew! If you have not had a chance to go yet, you must!

Diet Like A Doggie

Literally. So, I think I'm going on a diet. The Noah diet. For those of you who don't know who Noah is, he is my maltese puppy! After over a year of observing Noah chow down on his Purina Moist n' Meaty, I think I should start eating the stuff! Noah seems to like it and he is the size of a pencil. They even section the amount off for you by bag so you don't go overboard! Before I really consider this, any suggestions that don't include eating the same food as my poochie??

True Story: I Have A Speech Impediment

At a visit to my local Orthodontist's office, I was floored when they told me what is causing my problem with my teeth! I'm a tongue-thruster. Uh huh, 22 years old and I am just finding this out! Wonderful! So on my way back to C-ton I called Big Sissy and told her the diagnosis (since she is a speech pathologist). She said "well now that you say it, I guess you do kind of sound like you have a lisp. I've always wondered why I couldn't understand you as much as I can understand my other friends on the phone." HAHHA Don't worry sissy, no hard feelings! Don't worry, I'll keep you updated (even if they make me wear a metal helmet clenching my teeth shut or something)!

The Time Traveler's Wife

Ok, so I know you are thinking who has time to go see two movies in one weekend? ME! ME! Of course, I had to go see it because of Rachel McAdams' debut on the big screen! I liked it! It was a very weird concept to grasp, but a good movie all in all! The ticket was worth it because of the actors and the popcorn!

The Ugly Truth

Funniest. Movie. Ever. A bit graphic, so leave Meemaw at home! The best part about it is that every few minutes, I would turn and look at Dukey and he was cracking up! We have NEVER enjoyed the same movies! Here are a few of my own ugly truths about relationships that I try to live by...

1. Once a cheater, always a cheater (unless of course, he's really, really cute). Just kidding!
2. If you ask him a question about something and the very first thing that comes out of his mouth is either "uuuummm" or "huh", the remark directly following it will probably be a lie.
3. Some things are better left unsaid. (Ex: Every time he incorrectly remembers and event. Just let him think it happened the way he wants to remember it. Does it really matter who said what? O.K. well, it shouldn't.)
4. Pick your battles wisely. Even if what he is doing really does get on your nerves. You aren't perfect either (well, he doesn't have to know that you are). (Ex: STOP hanging the towels on the shower rod after you are done with your shower. When you do that, I have to remove them myself before I can get in the shower.) P.S. guys tune you out after like, 5 seconds of talking anyways.
5. No one feels better about anything after they are criticized for it. If you don't like what they are doing, find some other way to deal with it (like... revenge) or confront it in a constructive manner.

Birthday Girl Thanks

Sooo.. I have the absolute BEST friends and family on the face of the earth! I want to thank all of you for your sweet texts/bbm's/calls/posts/e-mails!! I love you all very much! Each of you has a special place in my heart and you are what makes my world go 'round! A million thanks for not only making today special, but for making me feel special every dayl! Love you all to pieces!

Can you dig it?

I'm talking about... GEOCACHING! Have y'all heard of this?? One of the women in my classes does it for fun and loves it! You take a GPS, plug in the coordinates of the hidden treasure, and dig!!! In every hole, there is a place to sign your name and in the really good ones, there are small surprises!! How fun!! This is the perfect exercise to do for fun! If you have a GPS already, it's free!! So get your GPS's ready and get to Geocaching! P.S. Here of the pictures of Sara Cate I promised!! Isn't she presh??

Preggers

As you know, I am a serious fan of Kim Kardashian! Today, it was released on E! that her oldest sister, Kourtney, is preggo! Wow! She is 29 years old and is expecting around Christmas time! SO exciting! She is the 1st to have a baby and is looking forward to it! It will be interesting to see how Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami goes!

Today, Big Sissy and BF came to visit me!!! yayy!!! They also gave me this Blowfish charm for my Pandora bracelet! AWWw! Isn't he cute?? Thanks, guys! I love it!

Perfection In A School Bag

Looking for a school bag? I found one! Lo and I ventured to all stores in C-ton today to find the p-e-r-f-e-c-t school bag for her! Surprise! We found it (we always do)! This bag is made by Vera Bradley. It is made out of microfiber, has six pockets inside, and a place to carry a laptop! Wonderful! Our all-day shopping adventure paid off!

SPLAT!

This weekend, the Dukey and I finally got everything in my APT put together (including the dreaded chairs)! We (well, mostly he) slaved away nailing and hanging (and also had time for a little fun)! Funny story... I wanted to get rid of an old cantaloupe from my fridge and Dukey said not to put it in the trash, so we decided to throw it off the porch! Good idea right?! Baaaaddd idea! Because I begged Dukey to let me throw it, I had a little accident. Apparently I'm not as strong as I thought because I accidentally hit a car right under us with the cantaloupe! SPLAT! omg omg omg! We ran inside and turned off the lights to make sure no one saw... And then went down and wiped it all off! It's our little secret, right?? Whew! Feels better to get that out! Anyways, so the porch (pictured) is finally finished! Hoorayy!! Now Galebo can rest assured that I don't have those ugly tailgating chairs on my porch!

P.S. I sat out on my porch and watched people stare at the melon with curiosity... hehe :)

Black Balloon

Today, Dukey and I went to the Balloon Festival in C-ton! It was sooooo much fun! We ate Italian Ice, watched dancers, and watched hot air balloons take off! It was so HOT, though! We had to sit in the car with the AC on for about 45 mins because of the heat! We unfortunately did not ride in the hot air balloon because it only took you about 20 ft. off the ground. We decided it wasn't worth the wait and headed to the Italian Ice tent!! MMMmmmm it was good! When I got side-tracked by the mini-dancers, I reminisced about my days in the dance studio. These little girls were so good!! I decided that I can not wait until either ML or SC gets into dance!

Adventures In Babysitting

So I am channeling Dukey's favorite movie, Adeventures In Babysitting. He loved this movie as a kid because he thought the lead character was hot...Anyways, today was my very 1st day of babysitting! It was soooo much fun! I have a 2 year old named Sara Cate! She is the most adorable thing I have ever seen (besides ML, of course)! We spent the whole day watching Clifford, swinging, naming everything by color, and singing our ABC's! I can't believe how smart she is! I am looking forward to keeping her because she is just so darn cute! Pictures of sweet Sara Cate to come!

A New Beginning For Big Sissy!

Currently, I am back-posting because my internet has been down! uggghhhhH! To fill you in, I went to Romega on Thursday to visit my fam and my big sis, Care Bear! OOOH I am so excited because she had an interview in my hometown and is considering moving there very soon! I can't believe it! She is such an adult! I spent the day with her, Howie, and Galebo looking at places for her to live in December! I am soooo looking forward to her moving because that means I will have someone to see every time I come to Rome! So....SHE GOT THE JOB! wooohooooo! And now... I am even more excited than before! I can not wait to have her there! Congrats and welcome to Romega!

New Purchase!

Have you ever been at the grocery store, headed for the bottled waters, and told yourself it was a ginormous waste of monies?? I have a solution! I found this Live Pure Fit and Fresh water bottle at Publix today and I am obsessed! Instead of breaking into my piggy bank every week for some plastic water bottles, I opted for this! It has a built-in Brita filter! How cool! Also, I am up for anything that helps the environment, and this definitely does! Save your cents from your piggy bank and purchase one of these!!

Folded In School Supplies

I would like the media to know that my school supplies shopping is c.o.m.p.l.e.t.e.d.! Yep, you heard me...it is done!! Woohooo! Why am I so excited? Because it usually takes forever for me to find the perfect notebooks, pens, and highlighters! This problem dates back to when I was little and went school shopping with my mom! My brother would go through and pick up the 1st notebook he saw without question! Let's just say I took a little bit longer to decide. Go figure, I was a school supplies nerd-o back then as well as now! I scored a cute little folder as an extra expense for this semester! It was too cute to pass up! What school supplies item gets you itching to start studying??
